MORGAN – Warren William, 93, Johnstown, passed away Dec. 12 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 19, 1921, in Johnstown, son of Ernest and Ella (Ray) Morgan. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Eileen, who passed away in 1988; son, David Morgan; brothers, Edward, Clint, James, Howard and Ernest Morgan; and sister, Dolly Hofecker. Survived by his loving sons, Christopher J. Morgan, married to the former Deborah Swick, Johnstown, and Daniel P. Morgan, Johnstown; grandchildren, Erica, William, Cheri, April and Robin; and nine great-grandchildren. Warren William was member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a prisoner of war and received the Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was retired with 40 years service, having worked at GTE. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Johnstown, Father Walter Moll officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staffs of Allegheny Lutheran Home and Conemaugh Hospital palliative care ward for Warren’s care. Military service in charge of VFW Post 155.
