Thelma G. Betterman

BETTERMAN – Thelma G., 92, Johnstown, passed away Jan. 18, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 10, 1923, in Johnstown, daughter of Harold and Florence (Farley) Lee. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Norbert J. Betterman; brother, Edwin Lee; and sister, Dorothy Wyandt. Survived by loving daughter, Sharon, married to Jack Marberry, Fleming, Ga.; sister, Gerldine Manick, Pittsburgh; niece, Deborah Wyandt, Haymarket, Va.; and nephew, Robert Wyandt, Johnstown. Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She retired from Glosser Bros. She enjoyed socializing at Catholic War Vets. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Father Clarence Bridges, officiating. Entombment, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
