Shirley M. Bennett

Bennett, Shirley M. 90, of Johnstown, passed away November 30, 2020 at LaurelWood Care Center. Born September 6, 1930 in Johnstown. Daughter of Joseph A. and Rebecca Pearl (Wilson) Fouchey. Preceded in death by parents, husband Stoy Lester Bennett, son Daniel LeRoy Bennett, sister Estavella Fouchey and brother Wilson " Bud" Fouchey. Survived by loving children Lester ( Vicki) Bennett, Joseph Bennett, and Joyce (Randy) Jordan. Grandchildren; Vaughn (Lynn) Bennett, Corey (Milana) Bennett, Daniel (Tobi) Bennett, James (Jennifer) Bennett, Ian (Jessica) Bennett, Brooke (Matt) Miller, Brian (Karen) Jordan, Scott (Kristin) Jordan, Ashley (Jarrel) Burnett and Gregory Jordan. Twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley grew up in Walnut Grove and was a 1949 graduate of Johnstown High School. Formerly employed by the Cookie Jar where she learned cake decorating, and continued to decorate cakes for family and friends for many years. She had great compassion for people and cared for many family members, friends, and neighbors as long as she was able to. Viewing and services will be private. Private interment Richland Cemetery.
