Ruth E. Uncapher

UNCAPHER – Ruth E., 92, Johnstown, passed away Oct. 29, 2015, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 26, 1923, in Avonmore, daughter of Myron and Helen (Gibson) Miller. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Uncapher; sisters, Sadie, Nanie and Erma; brothers, Robert, Donald and Arthur; and son-in-law, Rodger Berkey. Survived by children, Beverly Dib, Johnstown; Donald Uncapher, Cheyenne Wyo.; Bruce, married to former Pam Stutzman, Orlando, Fla.; and Renee Berkey, Chambersburg; grandchildren, Keith Uncapher, Rebecca Vuckovich, Jason Dib, Jessica Weaver, Heather Uncapher and Justin and Christopher Berkey; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Howard; brother, Walter Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was a member of Grace Assembly of God. She enjoyed baking for Our Sons Family Restaurant, sewing and crafting. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, the Rev. Douglas Price Sr., officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
