Ruth Ann Penner

Penner, Ruth Ann, 79, Johnstown; began her new journey as she was called home to be with the Lord, on April 26, 2019. Born November 2, 1939 in Johnstown. Daughter of Charles and Susanna (Balon) Stewart Sr. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ross "Bucky" Penner, Numerous brothers, and a sister. Survived by brother Louis Stewart, sisters Mary Krise and Nancy Deffenbaugh. Special adopted daughter Jeanette Savering (Thomas), granddaughter Donette Silk (John), great grandchildren, Marissa Shaffer (God daughter), Bryson Shaffer and Braydon Silk, special friend Leo Smythe. Retired from Conemaugh Hospital with 40 years service. member of 7th ward crime watch, volunteered at Johnstown Senior Center. She enjoyed bingo, gambling, and polkas. Ruth was a fun loving, kind and generous woman, who had a heart of gold. She enjoyed life and cherished many friendships. She will be greatly missed by many. Memorial service 1 pm Monday May 6, 2019 at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown. Rev. Barron Deffenbaugh officiating. Private interment. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family.
