Ruth C. Heider

HEIDER – Ruth C., 75, Johnstown, passed away April 27, 2015, at her home. Born Aug. 18, 1939, in Johnstown, daughter of John and Sophia (Deidingsfelder) Moschgat. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Francis Heider; and brother, Jack Moschgat. Survived by these loving children, Deborah, married to Thomas McAfee, Johnstown; Michael Heider, and fiancee, Kathie Jones, Johnstown; Terri Heider and Brion Layton, Johnstown; John Heider, Florida; George Heider, married to Paula, Virginia; and Scott Heider, married to Janette, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jeremy McAfee (Janice Koenig), Justin McAfee (Jess Vance), Cory Layton, Kristen Burkett (Don), Brad and Ryan Heider, Samantha Heider, Jordan Heider and Mackenzie Heider; and great-grandchildren, Kiley, Emma, Laiken, Cameron, Sophia and Johnathan. Ruth was a longtime employee of Safari Cleaning. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral service. Private interment.
