Ruby Ella Shaffer

SHAFFER – Ruby Ella, 81, Johnstown, passed away Oct. 5, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 6, 1934, in Johnstown, daughter of Edward Joseph and Virginia Gertrude (Hicks) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Joyce Rose and Ruth E. Shaffer. Survived by brother, Cree Shaffer, Johnstown; sisters, Audrey and Diana Shaffer, both of Johnstown; and nieces and nephews. Ruby was employed at YMCA, YWCA and Glosser Bros. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Private funeral service. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
