Conway, Rose Helen - 93 passed away, Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born August 6, 1925 in Johnstown the daughter of the late John and Rose (O'Connell) Muldoon. She is survived by her children, Sharon of Johnstown, Gregory of Arlington, VA, (Carmella), Thomas of Lewisburg, PA (Susan), Patricia of Bryn Mawr, PA (Lawrence). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Lawrence, Elizabeth and Gregory of Philadelphia, Thomas of Alexandria, VA, (Noriko), Emily of Lewisburg, PA, Jordan (Sunni) and great grandson, Quinn of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Conway and her son, John Paul Conway. She was also preceded in death by her brothers John and Thomas, her sister Jane and her uncle Thomas O'Connell. After graduating from Johnstown High School, she worked for a number of years with the Pennsylvania Electric Company. After she was married, she became a stay at home mom devoting her time to the care of her five children. Like many other mothers she also volunteered at the Our Mother of Sorrows school library and cafeteria. With five children participating in a variety of school functions, including a number of sports, she was constantly on the go and happy to be involved. She was subsequently employed for many years with the H.F. Lenz Architectural and Engineering Firm as an Administrative Assistant. After retiring, she volunteered at the Lutheran Home and the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. She was a long-time member of the Our Mother of Sorrows church community and the church choir. She enjoyed the company of others. She looked forward to the holidays when family would gather. She also enjoyed many years of family vacationing at Bethany Beach. The family will receive loved ones and friends Sunday from 5-7 pm at Geisel Funeral Home Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Fr. Mark Begly officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Divine Mercy Catholic Academy.
