Ronald A. Horn

HORN – Ronald A., 73, Dale Borough, died Feb. 20, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center, Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 11, 1940, in Johnstown, son of Ralph and Kathryn (Wagner) Horn. Preceded in death by parents; stepbrother, Billy Horn; brother-in-law, Ronald Mills; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kleinmeyer; and brother-in-law, Butch Kleinmeyer. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, the former Nancy Warner; son, Ronald, married to Carrie (Claycomb), Hollidaysburg; daughter, Rhonda, married to Raymond Rico, Johnstown; grandchildren, Alexander Goch and Colin and Madisyn Horn; sister-in-law, Joanne (Warner) Mills, Elmhurst, Ill.; brother-in-law, Louis Stormer, married to Mary Jane (Rzasa), Boswell; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was a former assistant manager at Penn Traffic Co. and Gee Bee’s. He worked at Goodwill Industries and most recently was a security guard for RAC Security, having served at Johnstown High School. He was a longtime council member for Dale Borough and lifelong member of Dale Firemen’s Club. He was a graduate of Dale Borough High School, Class of 1958. Member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. He also was an avid lottery ticket player. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Walter Moll, officiating. Interment, Oak Cemetery.
