WISOR– Robert D. Sr., 83, Oakland, passed away Jan. 23, 2015, at Laurel View Village. Born Feb. 5, 1931, in Johnstown, son of Milford L. and Edna (Crotzer) Wisor. Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, James; infant sister, Betty; brother, Jack Wisor; and sister, Doris Reighard. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, former Lelah Jones; loving children, Deborah, married to Robert Shingler, Geistown; Robert D. Wisor Jr., at home; Betty, married to Stanley Niton, Richland; and James Wisor, Geistown; grandchildren, Brandon Shingler, and Eric Shingler, and fiancee, Samantha; brothers, Richard and Thomas Wisor, both of Johnstown; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was a member of Second Brethren Church, Moxham. Retired with 43 years service from Bethlehem Steel Corp., working in the metallurgical department. Also was employed for three years at Johnstown Wire Technologies. He was a sergeant first class U.S. Army Korean War veteran, serving in the Third Infantry Division. He was awarded two bronze battle stars. Lifetime member of VFW Post 155. Member of Korean Veterans Association Post No. 1, American Legion Post 849, Johnstown Lodge 538 F&AM and Jaffa Shrine Temple, Altoona. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Benjamin Zylka officiating. Private interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Second Brethren Church, Moxham.
