Robert L. Freeman

Freeman, Robert L. , 84, of Richland passed away September 20, 2019 at Arbutus Manor, Richland. Born February 17, 1935 in Johnstown. Son of Alvin and Sarah (Knotts) Freeman. Preceded in death by parents, in-laws, Irvin and Annie Thomas; brothers, Lewis, William, Dave, and Nelson Freeman; sisters, Anna May Rager, Joan Metz, and Gloria Yoder. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, the former Margaret (Thomas); children, Diane Lee of West Virginia, Patricia, married to Andrew Dobrota Sr. Johnstown, and Robert I. Freeman married to Michelle, Greensburg; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Penrod Johnstown; brother-in-law, David married to Dianne Thomas. Member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church for 42 years. He is a current member of the Arbutus Park Church of the Brethren. Retired with 37 years service Bethlehem Steel Corp - Rolling Mill. Also worked at Highway Hardware and drove truck for Mostollers. Bob enjoyed crosswords and carpentry. At his request there will be no viewing or visitation. Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richland Cemetery. The Rev. Barron Deffenbaugh officiating.
