Rick Lynn Hilbrecht

HILBRECHT – Rick Lynn, 67, Geistown, passed away Oct. 8, 2014, at home. Born Nov. 16, 1946, in Johnstown, son of Albert and Mary Jane (Diamond) Hilbrecht. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by loving wife of 44 years, the former Shirley Roberts; loving daughter, Wendy Hilbrecht, Johnstown; loving son, Rick Todd Hilbrecht, married to the former Raegan Mead, Boyds, Md.; grandson, Rick “Tyler” Hilbrecht, Pap’s buddy; brothers, Larry Hilbrecht, married to the former Patricia Sottile; and Barry Hilbrecht, married to the former Carol Messler; and many other family and friends. Rick loved all sports and was passionate about golf. He golfed every day that ended in a “y.” Longtime member of North Fork Country Club. Rick coached many sports, where he was known as “Coach” and “Mr. H.” His sense of humor and wit will be missed by all. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Johnstown, the Rev. Michael VanDyke, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
