Richard M. Christner

Christner, Richard M., 80 of Johnstown passed away February 14, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 24, 1940 in Johnstown son of the late Miles and Twila (Livingston) Christner. Survived by loving wife of 44 years the former Deborah Stolar. Daughter Lisa M. Christner, granddaughter Meghan Komara and great grandchildren Aralynn Komara and Emmett Allen Miles Cedor. Richard was a 1958 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School, served in the U.S. Army and was a retired Foreman for Grandview Cemetery. He loved reading novels and watching black and white movies especially Casablanca. He had an appreciation for musicals, museums, the fine arts and enjoyed taking trips to New York with his wife. As an avid football fan he enjoyed watching the Steelers and Notre Dame. Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather who also cherished time with his granddaughter and grandchildren and cat Sandy. By request services will be private. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
