Regina P. Deffenbaugh

DEFFENBAUGH – Regina P., 74, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 13, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 4, 1941, in Johnstown, daughter of George I. and A. LaVerna (Beisel) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry J.; and infant brother, Arnold E. Survived by loving sons, the Rev. Barron K. Deffenbaugh, married to Carolyn Willoughby, Johnstown; and Lynn W. Deffenbaugh, married to the former Marta Selles, Palm Bay, Fla.; loving grandchildren, Paul I., married to Johanna; Rose A.; Emilie M.; Drew L.; and Aaron J.; and loving brother, Merle E. Thomas, married to Arlene, Johnstown. Member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, where she served as a deacon and was involved in women’s fellowship. She was the past youth advisor and kids club director. She was a past officer in Western Pennsylvania District Women’s Ministries. Founding member of Community Widows Group. Snowbird to the Palm’s Estates, Lorida, Fla. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where a short prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by interment at Richland Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, Dr. Ronald Beachley, the Rev. Paul Leipelt and the Rev. Michael Christine, officiating.
