Obituary

Hautz, Philip,  84 of Johnstown passed away March 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 4, 1939 in Johnstown son of Philip Otto and Ruth Schreier. Preceded in death by parents, step father Charles Maher, brothers Charles Sr. James, and sister Ruthann Prestipino. Survived by loving wife the former Wanda Trent and these children Philip (Bonnie), Eric and Heather (Michael) Haberman. Grandchildren Brittney and Tori, and step grandchildren, Jamie and Garret. Great - grandchildren, Isaac and step great grandchildren, Gavin and Kimber. Philip was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and later St. John Gualbert, where he served as an usher, cemetery committee and also a member Holy Name Society. He was an avid runner, partaking in several marathons. Philip enjoyed history and was also a Civil War reenactor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Thursday March 9, 2023 at St. John Gualbert, Fr. Matthew Baum celebrant. Entombment St. Joseph Mausoleum.
