KENNEDY – Paul Earl, 70, Windber, went to be with his heavenly Father at 10:15 a.m. Aug. 26, 2015, at Good Sam Palliative Care Unit while surrounded by loved ones. Born Nov. 12, 1944, at home in Johnstown. He graduated from Ferndale High School in 1962. He married the love of his life, Shirley Louise Beam, in 1965 at Franklin United Methodist Church. They brought their first angel, named Kimberly Ann, into the world in November of 1965. She was the apple of her daddy’s eye. Three years later, they had their second bundle of joy, Kirstin Paulette, born April 4, 1968. Paul was a proud daddy and worked very hard to take care of his family, putting 35 years of service in at Penelec on Broad Street. When he became a grandfather in 1986 for the first time, he was overjoyed. Then five more times after that. He loved being with his grandchildren and spoiling them more than anything else. He believed in the Lord with all of his heart and was a humble, quiet servant, always praying and reading his bible faithfully. He was married to Shirley Louise (Beam) Kennedy, who also went to be with the Lord on Aug. 12, 2012. Survived by daughter, Kimberly Ann Rager, married to Barry Rager, and grandchildren, Sarah, Scott, Jessica and Bowen; daughter, Kirstin Paulette DiNinno, married to Blaise DiNinno, and grandchildren, Jennifer and Blaise; sister, Virginia Gritzer, married to Ronald Gritzer; sister, Susan Diest; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Cover Coulter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by many more loving family who will sadly miss Paul. Preceded in death by father, Paul F. Kennedy, and mother, Edith Bernice Kennedy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Andrew Taylor, officiating. Private interment at Grandview Cemetery
