Burkett, Paul M. 60, of Johnstown, passed away April 1, 2018 at home. Born October 8, 1957 in Johnstown. Son of Charles W. and Dorothy M. (Dietz) Burkett. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Robert L. McConnell Sr. and Thomas C. Burkett, and Aunt Joyce A. Griffin. Survived by loving sister Priscilla " Cill" Stricker, Johnstown, Uncle Paul L. Dietz and wife Nancy, Richland. Brother John W. Porter and wife Cindy, Johnstown. Nephew Robert L. McConnell Jr. and wife Teri, Parkhill. Friends Edward Kirkwood and wife Karen, Jack Johnson and wife Lychea, William Long and Karen Conzo. Paul was a US Navy veteran. Graduate of Johnstown High School. He had 20 years service as a guard with Cresson State Institution. Founding member of the "Pot Belly Gang" model toy club. Paul loved his dogs and had a special place in his heart for them. Friends received 1 pm to 5 pm Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown where funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday. Rev. Toby Holland officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
