Mildred A. Donald

Donald, Mildred A. 87 of Johnstown passed away July 15, 2022 at home. Born January 7, 1935 in Johnstown, daughter of William A. Sr. and Ann Mildred (Burns) Donald. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edward and William A. Donald Jr. sister Shirley Wright, nephew Jamie and niece Deena. Survived by her loving children, Mary, wife of David McLaughlin, Michael Donald, and Matthew Donald, married to the former Sherri Huzicka, grandchildren Eric, Jessica, Ashley, Madison, Brandon, Brianna, Mitchell, and Joshua, great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Raelynn, Calvin and Kenzey. Also survived by eleven nieces and nephews. Mildred was a member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral, the Dale Borough Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Fire Police, and Dale Borough Council. She enjoyed writing the newsletter for the Market Street Commons residents and her favorite shows included Gun Smoke, Bonanza and Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed playing Solitaire on her iPad and sending text messages to her grandchildren. Her passion was her children and family. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Geisel Funeral Home Johnstown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10 am at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, the Very Rev. Matthew Baum celebrant. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
