Mary C. (Zabala) Cruse

Cruse - Mary C. (Zabala), 79, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 14, 2025. Born on April 22, 1945, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Fiscus and Jesse Zabala. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E. Cruse; sisters, Loretta Zabala, Hildegard Maurer, Martha Canini and Phyllis Cassick; and brothers, Donald, George, David and James. Mary is survived by her adored and loving daughter, Stacey Cruse; cherished nieces, Sharon Maurer and Michelle Cassick; goddaughter, Shannon Hoffman; many other dear nephews and nieces; and brother-in-law and spouse, Ken and Isabel Cruse. A devoted and active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnstown, Mary was deeply loved by her church family and had many special friends within the congregation. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to neighbors and friends who generously offered their time, care and support to Mary. The family extends additional thanks to the nurses of 10 Rose at Conemaugh - Brenda and Jess - as well as Beth, Carolyn and Katrina from Conemaugh Hospice, for their compassionate care and support.
