Martha B. Collins

Collins, Martha B.  91 of Johnstown, passed away March 15, 2023 at LaurelWood Care Center. Born July 3, 1931 in Beaverdale, PA daughter of Joseph and Anna (Vojtko) Petrun. Preceded in death by parents, husband James Collins, stepfather John Estok, infant brother Michael Petrun, sisters, Mary McGrane, Helen Ondrejack, Catherine Muccioli, Mildred Campbell, Margaret Petrun, Elizabeth Doyle, Leona Barefoot, and Ann Beebout, brother, Joseph Petrun, and daughter in law Michelle Collins. Survived by loving son Kevin Collins with whom she resided with. Step daughters Marsha wife of Dennis Reed and Denise wife of Gary Rager. Grandchildren, Richard Collins married to Haley, Melanie Moore, Brandi Shawley, and Jennifer wife of Brett Gorzelsky. Also survived by sister, Agnes Salek, and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was a 1949 graduate of Beaverdale High School, and member of 1st United Methodist Church, South Fork. She worked for Best Form, Jolly Roger Restaurant, and then Foster Grandparents at Forest Hills Elementary School. She enjoyed photography, cooking and baking. She was a loving and caring mother and wife. Friends will be received Sunday 1-3p.m. and 5-7p.m. at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown, where funeral service will be held Monday 11:00a.m. Pastor James Gay officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LaurelWood Care Center or Windber Hospice.
