Mark W. Zimmerman

ZIMMERMAN – Mark W., 59, Dale, passed away Oct. 13, 2014, at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 14, 1954, in Johnstown, son of George and Sara (Bauer) Zimmerman. Preceded in death by father and grandparents. Survived by mother, Sara; brother, Larry Zimmerman, Palmer, Alaska; nephew, Zachary, Soldotna, Alaska; special cousins; several aunts; and an uncle. Also survived by beloved pet dog, Lucy. Mark formerly worked at several local banks, and most recently, The Tribune-Democrat. He graduated from Ferndale Area High School in 1972 and graduated from Cambria-Rowe Business College. Member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Mark enjoyed the outdoors and taking his dog for walks in the woods whenever possible. He was always there to help his family when they needed it. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be sent to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Funeral arrangements by Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, will be private. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
