Margaret B. Barkley

BARKLEY – Margaret B., 91, Johnstown, passed away July 9, 2015, at LaurelWood Nursing Care. Born April 4, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of William and Rachel (Boyer) Barkley. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Evelyn Varner, Thelma Sida and Nellie Duncan; and brothers, Lewis Barkley, Leo Barkley and three in infancy. Survived by special niece, Diane McLachlan, Johnstown. Also numerous nieces an nephews. Margaret was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnstown. She retired as supervisor of housekeeping at Lee Hospital having served for 43 years. Margaret loved to garden. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Alice Tondora, officiating. Private interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army, Vine Street Johnstown Chapter, in Margaret's memory.
