Ferg - Marcia, 71 of Martinsburg, PA formerly of Johnstown, PA passed away March 28, 2025, at Homewood at Martinsburg. Born May 12, 1953, in Johnstown, daughter of Richard T. and Miriam (Brant) Faulkner. Preceded in death by parents and brother Craig and her very special Aunt, Margaret Faulkner. Survived by loving husband Byron, of Martinsburg, PA and son Jason Tucker and wife Deborah and grandpuppy Roxy, of Ashburn, VA and daughter Darcey McLaughlin and husband Michael of Sneedville, TN; Brother Mark Faulkner and wife Georgia of Williamsburg, VA; Granddaughter Brittainey Lyons wife of Joey, and greatgrandchildren Aubrey, Beau and Chase of Ruckersville, VA; Sisters–in-law, Barb Hepburn, Carol Carr, and Mary Livingston; Also, numerous nieces and nephews; Marcia’s dearest and best friend since Cochran Junior High, Glenda Lykens of York Springs, PA; Sharon and Ken Manno of State College, PA; Ashlea Nesius of Roaring Spring, PA and Ashley Giarth of Martinsburg, PA. Marcia was a graduate of Johnstown High School class of 1971 where she was active in chorus and stage. She graduated from Clarion University in 1975 with a degree in Elementary Education and Library Science. She worked as a research librarian at the Cambria Free Library and was a substitute teacher with various school districts in and around Johnstown. Marcia was a former member of Grove Ave. Methodist Church, Johnstown. She moved to Virginia and was employed as a supervisor with AT&T for five years in Reston, VA. She then accompanied her husband Byron to Munich Germany. While in Munich, Marcia served as the family and visitor tour guide, it was a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Upon returning to the US, she became the Continuing Education Manager for the National Grocer’s Association in Reston, VA and then held the same position with the Society of Nuclear Medicine in Reston, VA. She retired in 2002 because of her health. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides of Hall Four of Homewood’s Springfield Unit for their care and professionalism shown to Marcia. At Marcia's request there will be no viewing. Rev. Gerald W. McCuller Jr. will lead a celebration of her life at a later date at the Bice Memorial Chapel at Homewood of Martinsburg. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Marcia to the Homewood Auxiliary at Martinsburg. Private interment at St. Thomas Cemetery, Hooversville, PA at the convenience of the family.
