Lois Callihan

Callihan, Lois, 91, of Johnstown, passed away April 3, 2021 at Westmont Woods. Born December 7, 1929 in Johnstown daughter of Roscoe and Emma (Moshgat) Rively. Preceded in death by parents, beloved husband Richard "Dick" Callihan, precious daughter Patti (Callihan) Rainey, dear grandsons Todd and Brett Bonitz. Loving mother of Rick Callihan married to the former Linda Naworol, Sharon wife of Jim Bonitz. Devoted grandmother to Heidi wife of Bob Paniaha, Derrick Callihan married to Kelly, Amy Bonitz and fiancé Ron Barnes, Pam wife of Tom Kauffman, Nathan Buchkoski married to Casey. Great grandchildren. Tyler and girlfriend Nicole Berkebile, Devon and Raine Morder, Quinn and Molly Callihan, Olivia Mock, Tommy and Anna Kauffman, Andrew and Sophia Buchkoski. Great-great granddaughter Skylarr Morder. Mom was an avid square dancer, round dancer, and line dancer. She bowled duck pins, enjoyed playing cards especially pinochle, water aerobics, walking, bus trips and traveling. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. The family would like to thank Westmont Woods for their loving support and care for the past two years. Also a special thank you to Aseracare Hospice for providing comfort, dignity and quality of life for the past five months, and especially to her nurses Allie and Chrissie. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. By request visitation and services will be private. Private interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
