Kathryn "Louise" Grasser

GRASSER – Kathryn L. ”Louise,” 90, Johnstown, passed away Oct. 9, 2015, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born Sept. 19, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of Ralph and Leona (Ream) Koontz. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years, James Grasser; brother, Ralph Koontz; son, James Grasser; granddaughter, Rebecca Grasser; and grandson, Nathan Boslet. Survived by daughter, Beverly, wife of Mark Boslet, Altoona; grandsons, Travis and Clinton Grasser, Texas; and six great-grandchildren.  Louise retired from Lee Hospital as an LPN with 20 years’ service. She was a lifetime member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. She and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. Louise enjoyed her family, reading, crafts, camping, volunteer work, God and life, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. By Louise’s request there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery. She expressed “Thanks to all who loved her and respected her as she lived her life, there is an angel watching over you whispering you are loved and blessed.” Arrangements by Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown.
