John Louis Valinsky

VALINSKY – John Louis, 63, Davidsville, passed away Dec. 31, 2014, at UPMC Shadyside. Born Oct. 19, 1951, in Johnstown, son of William Sr. and Susan (Biro) Valinsky. Preceded in death by his mother, Susan. Survived by loving wife of 22 years, the former Dolores “Lorry” Figura; children, John, and Shannon, and significant other, Ryan Johnson; father, William Sr.; and best friend, Robert “Guppy” and Karen Sellers. Also survived by sister, Josephine (Tom) Roman; and brothers, William Jr. (Sharon), James, Harry, Robert (Lori), Barry (Vikki), Tom (Connie) and Ron (Dawn). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John enjoyed NASCAR and taking rides in the mountains. He was a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed. Friends received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Visitation of the BVM, Father Barry J. Baroni, officiating.
