John E. Rummel, Jr

Rummel, John E. Jr.  71, of Clarion passed away October 17, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born April 4, 1946 in Johnstown son of John E. and Elaine (Knepper) Rummel.  Preceded in death by father and son, Edward Clay Rummel, Sr.  Survived by mother, Elaine Rummel, Shippenville; and loving wife of 55 years, the former Linda Wagstaff; loving son, Martin Thomas Rummel of Shaler; grandchildren, Edward Clay Jr (Candice), Amanda (Roman), Kristin (Dan), Kevin (Hannah), Michael Rummel; great grandchildren, Cassandra, Cheyenne, and Quentin Rummel; and loving sister, Deborah, married to Fred Byers of St. Mary's, Georgia.  John was an avid hunter, sportsman, and motorcycle enthusiast.  Retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Factory as a superintendent.  He was a member of the Order of the Masonic Lodge.  Friends will be received from  2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown  where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24.  The Rev. Roger Knepper, officiating.  Private interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
