John Joseph Hillenbrand

Hillenbrand – John Joseph, 73 of Johnstown, Passed away June 25, 2025, at home. Born December 20, 1951, in Johnstown son of John L. and Stella M.  (Whatmore) Hillenbrand. Preceded in death by parents and brother Frank G. Hillenbrand. Survived by loving sister Victoria Hillenbrand and their dog Abby. Also survived by these aunts and uncles; Howard Whatmore. Betty Makuch, John Whatmore, Mary Kuzminsky and numerous cousins.  John was the owner of Bedford Street News and was employed by Giant Eagle on Broad Street. He was involved with various clubs around the area including the Union Social Club and American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and coached Johnstown Youth Baseball. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at Geisel Funeral Home – Johnstown, where funeral service will be held 10a.m. Tuesday with Fr. Matthew Baum. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
