Jerry A. Poole

POOLE – Jerry A., 59, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 7, 2013, at home. Born Aug. 17, 1954, in Johnstown, son of Blair and Betty (Owens) Poole. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by loving daughters, Megan, married to Charles Miller Jr., Johnstown; and Melissa Poole, Johnstown; grandchildren, Corey, Hayden and Bryden Miller; brother, Larry Poole, Johnstown; and sister, Tammy, married to Pete Orbovich, Virginia Beach, Va. Also survived by former wife, Sharon Valinsky; and nieces and nephews; also faithful granddog, Rottey Piper. He was a retired coal miner with 20 years of service and was a former bus driver. He was very active in his grandchildren’s lives. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Star Trek and Gold Rush. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, immediately followed by memorial service at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Private interment, the Rev. Earl Butterbaugh, officiating.
