Schech, Jeanne (Alice Jeanne), 93, Dale Borough - Johnstown, died November 19, 2021. Born November 30, 1927, in South Fork, daughter of the late Harrison Hesketh and Alice (Bunton) Hesketh. Preceded in death by husband, Charles "Junior" Schech, son, Charles "Chuck" Schech Jr. Also preceded in death by brothers Gerald "Slim", Wilfred, Russell, Millard "Roy", Milton, Glenn, Eugene, Raymond, Vernon "Sonny" and Howard; sisters Shirley Delaney, Mildred Malee, Myrna Rose, and Eleanor Griffiths. Jeanne is survived by daughters, Pauline Virginia, wife of Paul Saternow, Port St. Lucie, Florida and Regina "Tracey" Berkey, Windber, PA and daughter-in-law Colleen Hollern Schech, Purcellville, VA; grandchildren: Robert Noe, and wife, Lynn Kear-Noe (Powell, OH); Ryan Berkey ,Windber, PA; Kristin (Schech) and husband David Patton, Stafford, Virginia; and Charles W. Schech and his companion Lauren Barnett Purcellville, VA; great-grandchildren, Calista and Cameron Schech, and Caleb, Tenley and Charlotte Grace Patton. Step great-grandson Bryan Berkey She is also survived by brother David Hesketh and his wife Carol, Brunswick, OH; sister, Mary "Louise" Blough, Boswell, PA. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jeanne was a Reader for Sunday Services, participating in mid-week prayer, fellowship services and Bible Study. A former duck-pin bowler at Gelles Lanes (Zips), she was a past-president and member of many championship bowling teams. She is an honorary graduate of Ferndale High School. Jeanne previously worked at Woolworths, Glosser Brothers, and the Hello Shop in downtown Johnstown, retiring in 2001 to care for husband, Charles, during his eight-year illness. A jigsaw puzzle enthusiast and accomplished at embroidery, she presented friends and family with her embroidered tablecloths. Her cooking and baking skills were loved by family and friends with many happy occasions being spent at their home in Dale where everyone appreciated the wonderful view of Johnstown and surrounding valley. Jeanne had fun watching all the wildlife that visited their hillside home. Jeanne was a sports-enthusiast and enjoyed watching nearly any athletic event on television. She accompanied her husband, Charles, to his horseshoe tournaments. When her son, Chuck drove for McQuaide Trucking, she spent time with friends via CB radio where her handle was "Silver". The family requires that masks must be worn during the visitation hour at 5:00p.m. Sunday up until the time of service at 6:00p.m. November 28 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 600 Ash Street Johnstown, PA. Pastor Toby Holland officiating. Interment, Bedford Cemetery, Bedford, PA beside her beloved husband, Charles - "Together Again". Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown is honored to serve the family.
