KEITH – Jay Wesley Sr., 73, Johnstown, passed away April 19, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 25, 1940, in Johnstown, son of Harold A. and Caroline (Miller) Keith. Preceded in death by parents; three brothers; and three sisters. Survived by loving wife of 54 years, former Carol Povich; these loving children, Jay W. Keith, married to former April Gutilla; Cynthia, married to Timothy Oravec; Stephen Keith; and Monica, married to Matthew Updyke; grandchildren, Chelse Lynn Keith, Anthony Oravec, Ian Keith, Olivia Oravec, Mattie Updyke, Caroline Oravec, Jayden Keith and Eli Updyke; great-granddaughter, Naelyn Grace Mishler; twin sister, Kay, married to Dave Bennett, Rantoul, Ill.; brother, Albert Keith Sr.; sisters-in-law, Doris Faith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jay was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver working for M&C Trucking. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice in Jay’s honor. Graveside military service will be conducted by Conemaugh Valley Detachment 287 Marine Corps League.
