Janet Lee Shaffer

Shaffer, Janet Lee 88 of New Freedom PA formerly of Johnstown, passed away February 17 2021 at home. Born February 28, 1932 in Johnstown daughter of Richard and Colina (Gaston) Eppley. Preceded in death by parents, husband Niel Dwight Shaffer in 2004, daughter Lisa Pace, brothers; Richard Eppley Jr., Lester Eppley, Charles Eppley, and sister Dorothy Bailey. Survived by children; Wesley Shaffer married to the former Patricia Kraft, Stacey Shaffer married to the former Crystal Hunt, and Pamela Campbell. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great - grandchildren, and sister Shirley Rice.  Janet loved family and friends. She was an avid shopper, and enjoyed animals especially bird watching and her cat Henry. Friends will be received 11a.m to 12.pm. Saturday at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
