Lybarger, Jack Russell, 83, of Oakland, passed away October 6, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 13,1933, in Johnstown, son of Grant W. and Gladys (Stewart) Lybarger Sr. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Robert, Grant Jr. and Thomas; and sister, Hellen Kurtz. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, the former Nancy Spinos, and these loving children, Janet N. Lybarger, Johnstown; Roxanne, married to Jack Henze, Johnstown; Kirk Lybarger, married to the former Brenda Taylor, Duncannon, Pa.; and Kimberlee Lybarger and Kelly J. Lybarger, both of Harker Heights, Texas; grandchildren, Erik,Kyle, Grant and Tyler; and sisters, Barbara Griffith and Sandra Cook, both of North Carolina. Jack was a member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Retired with over 40 years service as an inspector with Bethlehem Steel Corp. He enjoyed gardening and he loved his cat Heidi. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. James Gay, officiating, Private interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Greater Johnstown Fellowship Food Pantry Fund.
