H. Stanley Kuhlman, Jr.

Kuhlman, H. Stanley Jr., 99, of Richland, passed away May 7, 2018 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born March 2, 1919 in Sayre, Pa. Son of Dr. Harry S. and Ada T. (Trainor) Kuhlman Sr. Preceded in death by Parents, loving Wife Elizabeth C. Kuhlman and twin Brother Robert S. Kuhlman. Survived by loving children: Judith Kuhlman Boyko - Northborough, Massachusetts, H. Stanley Kuhlman III married to the former Kerry Parise - Chapel Hill, N.C. , David K. Kuhlman married to the former Pamela Forbess - Highland Village, Texas, and Douglas A. Kuhlman married to the former Lisi Zheng - Beaverton, Oregon. 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Stan was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church - Johnstown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater as a member of the 18th general hospital unit - Johns Hopkins Hospital. Stan was a retired Funeral Director and Owner of Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown. He was a member of the Somerset County Funeral Director's Assn. Charter member of Geistown-Richland Kiwanis Club, having held every club office. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Longtime member of Pacesetters Golf League and was proud to be the oldest active bowler at Zips Lanes. Stan was a huge fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams. Friends will be received for a memorial service Friday May 11, 2018 at 1 pm. Service will be held at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown. Rev. Toby Holland officiating. Private Inurnment , Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stan's name to Arbutus Park Manor - Doerr Personal care unit or Asera Care Hospice.
