George Allen Wise

Wise - George Allen, 52, Johnstown, passed away Jan. 5, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born Feb. 3, 1961, in Johnstown, son of Raymond L. Leach and Sara Jean Hudson-Wise.  Preceded in death by grandparents; father, Raymond Leach; sister, Evelyn Grace Wise; and two infant sisters.  Survived by loving wife of 26 years, the former Roxanne Meyer; mother, Sara Jean Wise, Summerhill; mother- and father-in-law, Laura and Wayne Meyer; brothers and sisters, Paul Wise, married to Laura (Duckworth), Pittsburgh; Philip Wise, Johnstown; Linda, married to Micheal Geiser, Johnstown; Suzanne, married to Bradley Bosshart, Pittsburgh; Jon, married to Tiffany (Sinclair), Summerhill; and Bruce, married to Erin (Haberl), Summerhill; eight nieces; and three nephews.  Formerly employed by Burton Furniture for 14 years and was manager of automotive accessories at Johnstown WalMart for 15 years.  George loved bowling and golfing, and also selling hockey cards on EBay.  He also loved spending time with his family and friends.  His favorite place to go was the beach.  He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Michael VanDyke, pastor at Zion Lutheran Church, officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
