Gene Kelley

Kelley, Gene, 92, Johnstown. Passed away June 23, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 13, 1926 in Scalp Level - Somerset County. Son of Harry and Cora (Varner) Kelley. Preceded in death by parents, wives Katey, Thelma, and Dorothy, sisters Ora Horner and Viona Formacola. Also brother Clair R. Kelley. Survived by sons Bryan Kelley and wife Jenny - Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Earl Hoyland Jr. - Johnstown, Benny Hoyland and wife Kathy - Somerset, and John Hoyland - Johnstown. Grandchildren Scott Hoyland and wife Pleasant, Don Zabala, and Deanna Kelley. 6 Great grandchildren. Gene was a member of Arbutus Church of the Brethren. He retired with 31 years service as a welder in the Car Shop of Bethlehem Steel Corp. At Gene's request there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held Friday 11 am at the Arbutus Church of the Brethren- Richland. Rev Rick Jones officiating. Private interment Dunmyer Lutheran Cemetery.
