Etta M. Gilbert

GILBERT – Etta M. “Babe,” 96, Davidsville, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Country Manor. Born March  24, 1919, daughter of Fred and Grace (Myers) Wheeland. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clyde Gilbert; and brothers, Veryle, Robert, Clair, Clark and Ben. Survived by children, Ruthetta, wife of Grant McIntosh, Ephrata, Pa.; and Grace Crandall, Nashville, Tenn. Also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a brother, David; sister, Ruth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Etta attended Jerome Church of the Nazarene and her hobby was repairing dolls and was known as the “doll doctor.” By request, there will be no viewing. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, the Rev. Grant McIntosh, officiating.
