Callihan, Eleanor, 91, of Richland, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2023, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born May 20, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of Thomas Jr and Ann (Stephenson) Dabbs. Preceded in death by her loving husband, the Reverend Robert G Callihan; her parents; infant son Mark; brother, Thomas and sister-in-law, Audrey Dabbs. Survived by daughters, Sheryl Mock (Daniel), Bear Creek Twp, PA; and Merrilee Saccol (Ronald), Franklin, PA; grandchildren, Ann K. Raducz (John), Sara E. Bryant (Greg), Anthony Saccol (Billie Jo), Nathan Saccol (Andrea) and Rebecca Saccol; great-grandchildren, Lauren Bryant, Gillian Fiala, Daniel Bryant, Austin Saccol, Olivia Saccol, and Anthony Raducz. Also survived by brother, Robert (Rhoda) Dabbs; special cousin Wallene Hersh and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. Eleanor served beside her husband in the United Methodist Church in various ways and in local, district, and Conference offices within the United Methodist Women, on the Conference Committee on Evangelism and in Johnstown District Youth work for many years. She served as youth director at Elton Zion Church. She was a member of the Arbutus Auxiliary where she served as president. Family gatherings were especially important to Eleanor. She loved traveling with her husband and playing games. In her later years she played games regularly with her friends and participated in and led the weekly Bible study at Arbutus. Eleanor prayed each day thanking God for the love of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and prayed that they all would know the joy of salvation in Christ. Her favorite scripture verses were Romans 8:28 and Philippians 1:21. Eleanor's family thanks Arbutus Park Manor and AseraCare Hospice for their loving care. Friends will be received Thursday from 6pm to 8pm at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown and Friday 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Beulah Church - Johnstown. Rev. Chuck Shaffer officiating.
