Dorothy Jane Brumbaugh

Brumbaugh, Dorothy Jane, 93, of Windber, went to be with her Savior February 12, 2023 at Windber Hospice. Born July 9, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of Henry and Esther Pearl (McDaniel) Wingard. Preceded in death by parents, husband Rev. Jacob M. Brumbaugh, sister, Viona Fyock. Survived by son Lauren (Michaelene ) of Halethrope, MD, daughters, Eileen Armstrong (Ralph) of Franklin, NC and Donna Cawthorne (Russ) Butler, PA. Grandchildren Elisa Combs (Derrick), and great grandchildren Zachary, Elana and Skyler Combs. Grandson Ryan Dimond, granddaughter Cortney Brumbaugh and grandchildren Savannah, and Karter, granddaughter Megan Brumbaugh and great- grandchildren Kaiden and Gabriel. Dorothy led an active life that always reflected her Christian principals. She was a talented musician (marimba, piano, and choir), farmers wife, gardener, seamstress and 4-H Leader. She was a dedicated homemaker and especially was active in church as a Pastors wife at Cramer U.M.C. where she served as choir director. She was previously an active contributing member of Park Ave U.M.C. She served as caretaker for many over the years and was a talented cook and baker. She served and worked for many local businesses and organizations over her lifetime. But above all she was a loving mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and dedicated prayer-warrior for family and friends. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown, Pastor James Dietrich officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
