Doris M. Chornick

Chornick, Doris M., 90, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 12, 2016, at LaurelWood Care Center. Born May 9, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of Elmer and Alberta (Langer) Kleinmeyer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Chornick; and sisters, Alverda Kleinmeyer and Jean Fischer. Survived by loving niece, Karen, married to Charles Ertel, East Syracuse, N.Y.; loving nephew, Saun Fischer, Vinco; and loving great-nieces, Anina Ertel, Washington, D.C., and Leila Ertel, Sacramento, Calif.. Doris was a retired bookkeeper. She was a very devout Catholic and enjoyed attending church with her sister. She was a great caregiver to her husband who had multiple sclerosis. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. up until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, Father Clarence Bridges, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
