Donald J. Litzinger

Litzinger, Donald J, 77, Dale Borough, Went to be with our Lord on December 2, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born Oct. 21, 1945 in Johnstown, son of Ralph and Gertrude (Bonholster) Litzinger. Preceded in death by parents, wife Mary Ann (Goughnour) Litzinger, sisters, Zola, Doris Elaine, Darlene and brother, William "Dale", Wade, Garth. Survived by son Todd (Tracy), sister, Marjorie Ostrich, fiancé Paulette Mangiafico and her daughter Jennifer Fisher. Good friends Dennis Abbott "Ab" and Thomas Espy.  Donald was a 1963 graduate of Ferndale Area High School. He was a retired maintenance worker from Johnstown Area Heritage Association.  He also worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. fire department, and Maintenance at West Hills Square. Don was an active life member of the Dale Borough Fire Company with 56 years of service; he also was a member of the Cambria County Regional Firemen's association. Don enjoyed helping his son with projects. He also enjoyed spending time with his cat (Bubba) his Grand-dogs Yuma, Yazhi, Cooper and Cassie. Donald will be sadly missed by family and friends and many nieces, nephews and cousins. At Don's request there will be no public viewing. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements by Geisel Funeral Home. Johnstown. In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to the Dale Borough Fire Company.
