CUSTER – Donald Paul, 76, Windber, passed away Aug. 14, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 18, 1938, in Conemaugh Township, son of Samuel and Emma Boothby Custer. Preceded in death by parents; niece, Anita Jardina; and brothers-in-law, Harry G. and Robert M. Rose. Survived by loving wife, the former Esther Mae Rose; loving children, John Custer, Windber; Christina, married to Cliff Kauffman, Hollsopple; and Colleen Horner, Windber; loving grandchildren, Sammy Custer; Christin, married to Eric Kemp; Kyle Custer; Shane Horner; Courtney Custer; and Nathan Horner; loving great-grandchildren, Sean Oaks and Alexis Kemp; sister, Florence “Flo” Rose, Windber; and nephews, Mark and Alex Jardina. Member of Elton United Methodist Church. Death breaks marriage union of 53 years. He had 43 years of service at U.S. Bank-AmeriServ as assistant vice president of security. He also was employed at Cambria County War Memorial Arena. He was a Conemaugh Township High School graduate and taught AIB School of Banking at Vo-Tech. He also was involved in Crime Stoppers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Elton United Methodist Church, the Rev. Daryl Penrod and Dr. Rev. Paul Morris, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery
