Dolores F. Barkley

BARKLEY – Dolores F., 91, Southmont, formerly of Daisytown, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at home. Born Nov. 10, 1923, in Johnstown, daughter of George and Cecilia (Malzi) Frick. Preceded in death her parents; husband, Lewis J. Barkley Sr.; and sons, Lewis J. Barkley Jr. and Barry Barkley; twin brother, Donald Frick; and brother, George Frick. Survived by children, Robert, married to the former Pam Wright, Arizona; Richard, married to the former Pam Korber, Virginia; Tracey, wife of Bill Hipp, Johnstown; and David, married to the former Nancy Ales, North Wales, Pa. Also survived by 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Frick; and sisters, Betty Drugo and Mary Grace Pavlick. Dolores enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing pinochle with her friends for more than 50 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at SS. Gregory & Barnabas Catholic Church, Father Robert Ruston, officiating. Interment, Oak Cemetery. In lieu and flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Dolores Barkley to SS. Gregory & Barnabas Catholic Church.
