Swincinski, Deborah Marie, 70, of Windber, entered peacefully into rest September, 13, 2024. Born August 10, 1954 in Johnstown. Daughter of Peter and Frances (Ponczek) Petro. Preceded in death by parents and loving husband David. Survived by cherished and devoted daughter Deanna wife of Matthew McVicker, and grandchildren and greatest joy Maddox and Mia McVicker. Also survived by her sibling Barry Petro married to Barb, and nephews Matthew Petro and Benjamin Petro married to Laura. Sister-in-law Margaret Dressick, brother-in-law Daniel Swincinski married to Ann, and close cousins Loretta Smakula and Mark Ott. She retired from the Trust Dept. at AmeriServ Financial but spent many years in retail at House of Fabrics and The Hello Shop. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. "Buggie" was Maddox's #1 fan cheering him on in baseball, and she was blessed to spend her days playing with and loving her sweet Mia Bia. Debbie was a crafty gal who liked decorating for various holidays, especially Christmas and cooking for her beloved family. She also enjoyed cheering on the Steelers and Nittany Lions. Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Geisel Funeral Home--Johnstown. Funeral mass Wednesday, 11 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton-Windber. Reverend Roderick Soha, TOR, officiating. Private interment St. John Cantius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as Debbie did to help children and their families fight cancer.
