David Charles Blackner

Blackner, David Charles "Piggy", 60, of Johnstown passed away February 9, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born August 5, 1957 in Johnstown, son of Charles and Doris (Lohr) Blackner.  Preceded in death by parents and grandmother, Edna Lohr.  Survived by daughters, Jessica (Rick) Michaels and Jennifer, all of Johnstown.  Granddaughter, Cassie Michaels, who was his pride and joy.  Sister, Darla(Joseph) Clites, Johnstown; brother, Larry Blackner, Johnstown, and special Uncle Jim (Sharon) Lohr.  Also survived by niece and nephews, Rebecca and Matthew Clites and Larry Blackner Jr., Johnstown.  Great niece and nephew, Savannah and Hayden Anderson.  David was a 1976 graduate of Johnstown High School.  He was employed by Met Life for 28 years (1977 to 2005).  He loved baseball, football, bowling and wrestling.  Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Pasto Doug Price officiating.  Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
