Clinton Dale Clites

CLITES – Clinton Dale, 85, Johnstown, passed away Sept. 28, 2015, at home. Born Aug. 10, 1930, in Shade Township, son of Earl and Melva (Hillegass) Clites. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Agnes Marie (Thiel); and sisters, Ruby and Eva. Survived by loving children, Dale Clites, married to the former Eileen Wrubel, Quakertown; Joseph Clites, married to the former Darla Blackner, Johnstown; George Clites, Johnstown; and Donna, married to Robert Ghezzi, Johnstown; loving grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Josh, Nicole, Rebecca, Misty, Danielle, Sean, Christopher, Andrea and Alison; loving great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Lily, Savannah and Hayden; three brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clinton was the assistant director of maintenance at Conemaugh Hospital for more than 35 years. He was a Johnstown High School graduate, Class of 1949; a U.S. Navy veteran from 1951 to 1955, having served in the Korean War; and loved to garden. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. David Streets, officiating.
