Charles Respet

Respet, Charles, 95 of Johnstown, passed away January 28, 2017 at Laurelwood Nursing Care Center. Born February 28, 1921 in Johnstown. Son of Jacob and Mary Respet. Preceded in death by parents, wife of 57 years the former Marie L. Tamm. Son Thomas Respet and wife Kathryn, brother Jacob Respet, sisters Christine Kopler and Mary Kisel . Survived by loving children Colin married to the former Vickie Mack of Clyde and Denise married to Ronald Ponchek of Johnstown. Grandchildren Kristie Perrone (Chris), Keith Respet (Kira) , Thomas Respet Jr. (Allison), Erin Respet and Ryan Respet. Great-grandchildren Delaney Perrone, Alana, Quinn, Gunnar, and Charleigh Respet. Charles was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church where he enjoyed helping with fish dinners. He retired from Leitenberger's Machine Company with 55 years service. He was an WWII Army Veteran who served in France. Charles was an avid gardener and hunter and also loved his dog Sassy. Friends will be received Tuesday 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8p.m. at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Daisytown. Fr.
