Byron "Doc" Horner

Horner, Byron "Doc", 84 of Dale, passed November 16, 2016 at home. Born September 15, 1932 in Johnstown son of Merle and Ivy Horner. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Merle, Maurice, John and sisters, Virginia, Erma and Lillian. Survived by loving wife of 58 years the former Catherine Ivock and these loving daughters, Dawn married to Ron Valinsky and Danita Horner all of Johnstown. Granddaughter Heidi wife of Matt McGuire, great-granddaughters Samantha and Jessica McGuire. Sister Ivy Thomas of Richland and special friends John and Carol McGuire. Byron retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was a lifetime member of Dale Boro Volunteer Fire Company with many years of service on many events, and Cambria and Somerset Fire Police. At Byron's request visitation and services will be private. Entombment Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The Family is being served by Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown.
