Betty Luttringer

LUTTRINGER – Betty, 93, Johnstown, died Dec. 1, 2014, at home in her niece’s arms. Born Dec. 29, 1920, in Johnstown, daughter of Orbie and Helen (Zimmerman) Clark. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William E. Luttringer, who died Oct. 24, 1981; brother, Orbie Clark Jr.; and sisters, Enid Hunt and Faye Hartland. Survived by niece and caregiver, Carolyn Clark; sister, Greeta Blewitt; sister-in-law, Genevieve (Shaffer) Clark; and nieces, Helen Jones, Joyce Broege, Carolyn Zaschak and Charlotte Richardson. Betty attended St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. She was the granddaughter of Johnstown photographer and artist, Edward A. Zimmerman. As a child, in 1926, Betty traveled to Topeka, Kan., in a housecar invented by her father, Orbie Clark. Member of Ferndale Historical Society. Funeral arrangements by Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, will be private. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Mary Special Project Fund.
