Betty E. Beisel

BEISEL – Betty Elaine, 89, Johnstown, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Church of the Brethren Home, Windber. Born Feb. 11, 1926, daughter of Francis and Esther (Thomas) Bauer. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Harry C. Beisel. Survived by children, Judy, wife of John Geisel, Johnstown; Diane, wife of Daniel Yoder, Davidsville; Joanne, wife of Frank Jurestovsky, Johnstown; and Harry F., married to the former Lisa Locher, Johnstown. Also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; twin sister, Sara Zimmerman, and sisters, Alice Hoy and Janet Miller, all of Johnstown. She was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, where she enjoyed making soup and meals with her twin sister.  She volunteered at the Church of the Brethren Home’s beauty shop. By request of the family, viewing and service will be private. Private interment at Richland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in memory of Betty.
